Is Massage a luxury or a necessity?

Woman getting massage Why do we think of a massage as a luxury, a way to pamper ourselves when it can have so many health benefits? In these times of the ever increasing pace of modern life and the stresses that modern life creates massage is a necessity. Is the tension in those shoulders released after a full day at the computer? Is the pain in that back relieved after stacking boxes in the warehouse? Is the stress relaxed after constant pressure at the office? Has the injury to that knee healed properly 6 months later?shoulder painIf the answer to any of these questions is no then what happens to your body if these conditions are not treated? Well, the tense shoulders could become painful with the pain radiating up into the neck or down the arms. The back pain could become chronic causing time off of work, the stress could cause relationship or health problems and that knee injury could cause muscular tension in the leg causing joint pain or arthritis in the knee, ankle or hip.

With a course of treatments to alleviate any current problems and regular massage every 4 - 8 weeks most problems of joint and muscular pain and tension can be relieved leaving you able to cope with todays busy lifestyles.
